Islamic art and architecture was my favorite topic in art history last year. School has it’s ups and downs, but I must not forget why I came here in the first place. I’m not here for a title or a career path or even intellectual self-assurance, even though I know I constantly let those bolster my self-esteem when things don’t go my way. I chose to come here to enrich my life with as much knowledge and beauty as I can, and that is what I should focus on in my time here. Learning is a life-long process that goes beyond formal schooling, and I hope I never forget all the interesting things I’ve learned so far and I hope to continue learning as many new and different things as I can.
